On August 13, the 7th Embedded Chip and System Design Competition National Finals sponsored by China Electronic Education Society came to an end in Nanjing, which attracted 7,297 teams from 552 institutions with a total of 2,0041 students to participate. A total of 11 NJUPT teams stood out in the East China competition and were selected for the finals. After skills assessment, work display and defense, NJUPT teams won 4 national first prizes, 3 second prizes and 3 third prizes, and the number of awards won is exclusive in the East China universities and ranks the third in the national universities.
National College Students Embedded Chip and System Design Competition aims to guide the teaching reform in the field of embedded system design in colleges and universities across the country, promote the innovative design and engineering practice ability of college and university students in embedded systems, and its main goal is to stimulate and cultivate college and university students' ability to utilize the advanced technological platform to carry out innovation and design, to enrich and enliven the academic atmosphere of innovation and entrepreneurship in campuses, and to promote the cooperation between the colleges and universities and enterprises in the cultivation of talents. The main goal of the competition is to stimulate and cultivate college students' ability to utilize advanced technology platforms for innovation and entrepreneurship, enrich and enliven the academic atmosphere of innovation and entrepreneurship on campus, promote the cooperation between universities and enterprises in talent cultivation, and cultivate outstanding talents with innovative thinking, teamwork spirit and the ability to solve complex engineering problems.
This year, 3,318 teams submitted their works to the preliminary round, and 1,466 teams were selected to advance to the regional rounds after the online preliminary rounds; after the offline rounds of the six regional rounds, 659 teams from 230 colleges and universities were selected to advance to the National Finals. After the evaluation, 98 teams were awarded the first prize, 196 teams the second prize and 354 teams the third prize in this year's national final.
The school-level selection, training and participation at all levels of this tournament are organized by the NJUPT Academic Affairs Office and the College of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education, and undertaken by the Department of Engineering Experimental Teaching.
