On August 24, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) announced the results of the 2023 NSFC Centralized Acceptance of Application Projects. NJUPT was approved to set up 125 projects for funding (including 1 National Outstanding Youth Science Foundation project, 4 Outstanding Youth Science Foundation projects, 1 major research program cultivation project, 40 top-level projects, and 79 Youth Science Foundation projects), and was granted direct funding of 56.185 million yuan. The number of funded projects increased by 22.55% compared with the same period in 2022, and the amount of funding increased by 20.75% compared with the same period in 2022. The number of funded projects and the amount of funding hit a record high again. In addition, the number of national talent projects has reached a record high.
