On October 15, Shanghai Soft Sciences Officially released the 2020 Soft Sciences China Best Discipline Ranking.17 of the 21 first-class disciplines of NJUPT have entered the list, accounting for more than 80%. Among them, information and communication engineering ranks 11th, ranking in the top 10%. Electronic science and technology are ranked 14th, close to the top 10 percent. NJUPT ranks joint 91st in the total number of disciplines listed by 2020 China’s Best Universities of Soft Sciences.
The list of China's Best Disciplines in 2020 includes 96 first-level disciplines. The ranking of each discipline is targeted at the universities with academic postgraduate degree authorization centers in the first-level disciplines, and is only published in the top 50% universities in this discipline. The ranking index system is with five index categories, including talent cultivation, scientific research projects, achievement awards, academic papers and high-end talents. Under 16 index dimensions, there are more than 50 objective quantitative indicators reflecting the discipline competitiveness. All the data came from the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science and Technology, National Natural Science Foundation of China, international and domestic literature database and other authoritative third parties.
